I was in a tropical country, with a global tennis tournament, that my dad got me into. I do not play tennis, I am not good at it. There was a massive stream/ ocean with people dancing and swimming in it. I went in voluntarily, but the current was really strong. I was being pulled under my the current, but I got out okay. I consulted a friend about the tennis, she said tennis was easy and she had done it before, it was not helpful. I then texted my dad to get out of the tennis tournament, he agreed easily. I then climbed trees with mangrove ladders in a mangrove forest, with my other friend who is pregnant on my back. I felt her weight on my back. I was determined to get her to the top safely.
Dreams can often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your dream seems to contain several key elements that may symbolize various aspects of your life and emotional state:
Tropical Country and Tennis Tournament: The tropical setting may represent a desire for adventure or a break from the routine. Entering a tennis tournament, especially when you don't play, could suggest feelings of being pressured to participate in activities or compete in situations where you don't feel confident or prepared.
Strong Current: The ocean or stream with a strong current indicates feelings of being overwhelmed or out of control in some aspect of your life. The fact that you willingly entered the water suggests a desire to embrace challenges, even if they seem daunting. Being pulled under but ultimately escaping may signify resilience in overcoming difficulties.
Consulting a Friend: Seeking advice from your friend about tennis but finding her response unhelpful may reflect your feelings of isolation or frustration when seeking help. This could indicate that you desire more understanding or support in your pursuits.
Interacting with Your Dad: Texting your dad and him agreeing to let you out of the tournament might signify a need for parental support or approval. It could also illustrate your desire to step back from expectations or pressures placed on you by others.
Climbing Trees with a Pregnant Friend: Climbing mangrove trees with your pregnant friend on your back suggests a sense of responsibility and support. Pregnancy often symbolizes new beginnings, nurturing, or the potential for growth. The weight you feel may indicate that you are taking on additional responsibilities or that you feel burdened by the needs of others, yet your determination to ensure her safety reflects your compassionate and protective nature.
Overall, your dream could be illustrating a tension between feeling overwhelmed by external pressures (like tennis and strong currents) and your innate desire for connection and support (through your dad and friend). It highlights your resilience and determination to navigate through challenges while caring for others, even if it feels burdensome at times. Consider reflecting on aspects of your waking life where you feel similar pressures, responsibilities, or a lack of support, and think about how you might address those feelings.
